Tanzaku #23, Yellow


Make your wishes come true! Tanzaku, traditionally hung from bamboo, are seen throughout Japan during Tanabata also known as the Star Festival. 

Traditionally five colors (blue, yellow, red, black and white) are used for the Tanzaku and it is said that these five colors have the power to keep away evil spirits and bad luck. Write down your wish on the paper provided, hang the Tanzaku on your porch or backyard tree and hopefully your wish will come true. 

This Tanzaku is made from stoneware, hand painted and carved. Hemp string. Measures approximately 12" tall and 1.5" wide.
